Programs offered at Kibuli Core PTC
Outreach program
All 13 centers are in Kampala district, Wakiso District and Entebbe Municipality. To mentor and coach teachers, follow up, support supervision in teaching and learning, organize Refresher Courses (CPDs), community mobilization etc. with the target aim of quality learning. There is a Deputy in charge to coordinate, supervise and spear head this program Deputy Principal Outreach (DPO)
School Practice
School attachment for 1 st years plus semi and final school practice in Year II, ECD (Nursery section) has two (2) SPs for six weeks each.
Vocational programs
This concept was developed in 2018 on skill of development in Home economics using oven, tailoring room on temporary basis, carpentry shade temporary used, brick making etc. We are still challenged; ● Workshop for carpentry ● Home Economics Laboratory (room) ● A well-equipped Tailoring room (with basic Equipment) If the above are worked on, it will help our students to acquire practical “hand on” and hence mastering the skills
Green House program
Collaboration with Organization called Kibo gave us a Green House, to teach agriculture in small area and get high yield for Demonstration practice of Urban Farming as well as income generating.
ICT Program
This is a self sponsored program. We have a computer laboratory with 30 computers but only one is compatible and compliant to the internet. Many proposals have been made to get more computers but we have not yet succeeded. There is a full – time ICT instructor paid from ICT contribution fees. There is need for unlimited internet to be used fully.
Co – curricular Program
Physical Education as one of the subjects in curriculum is conducted regularly, 5km road work every week. Other games; wood ball equipments, and other are in place. We also use low cost equipment made by students. We have preparations for referee and umpire training courses etc. MDD (Music, Dance & Drama)
Arabic Teaching/ Islamic/ Religious program
Arabic lessons for all year I for language Development conducted once a week. Islamic teaching is done every evening and Sundays. Teaching Talabia and Quran study done every evening from Monday to Saturday and on Sunday Monday. Students are awarded a certificate of Islamic and Arabic Language by Islamic University of Uganda
Diploma Program
Diploma programs are done at the college to candidates holding Grade III Certificate. This program is under the office of Deputy Principal Pre-service (DPP) accorded by IUIU and Kyambogo University
ECD (Nursery section) Program
The program is also under college academic programs under the affiliation of Kyambogo University. The Pre-service for ECD takes 2 years and In-service takes 3 years for certificate.
